Shaggy

Shaggy is one of those artists whose voice is instantly recognizable, that gravelly Jamaican baritone you cannot mistake for anyone else. With It Wasn't Me, Boombastic, In the Summertime, Oh Carolina, and Angel, he stitched reggae into global pop and got the whole world moving. As a singer, composer, producer, and DJ he is a genuine all-rounder, and his warm, playful personality seems to spill straight into the music. I have a soft spot for him because every summer, without fail, I find myself craving his sound. He made dancehall feel like an invitation rather than a niche.
