Sharon Gless

Sharon Gless has the kind of nerve I genuinely admire in a performer. Back-to-back Emmys for playing Sgt. Christine Cagney is no small feat, and Cagney & Lacey was a bold show for its era, putting complex working women at the center of a police drama. She carried that with real spine. A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and decades of stage, film and television work later, she still reads as someone who built her career on her own strength rather than chasing trends. I have deep respect for actresses who simply refuse to fade, and she's firmly one of them.
