Shoko Nakagawa

I have such a soft spot for Shokotan, because she's the rare celebrity whose enthusiasm is the whole act and the whole charm at once. The woman is a singer, actress, illustrator, voice actress, and TV regular, and honestly the through-line connecting all of it is just pure, uncool, unkillable fandom. Get her talking about anime or games or a manga she loves and she's off, eyes blazing, words tumbling out faster than the subtitles can keep up, and I find it weirdly contagious every time. She's also a famously devoted cat person, which tracks; she clearly loves things at full volume or not at all. What I respect most is that under all that brightness she's been candid about rough stretches, and that honesty is what makes her feel like a friend rather than a personality.
