Skye Sweetnam

Skye Sweetnam takes me straight back to the mid-2000s pop-punk wave. Two albums on Capitol and a Juno nomination would be enough for most, but what I really admire is her refusal to stay in one lane. She moved into voice acting and film directing, prying open her own range instead of coasting on a single hit. To me that restless curiosity is the mark of a real artist rather than a passing teen-pop name. There's a youthful, slightly defiant energy in her work that still feels fresh, and I find myself rooting for the creator behind the singer.
