My Take

Guitoune fascinates me because his journey arcs from Algiers to the very top of French rugby. Starting at Agen, paying his dues at Albi, then Perpignan, and ultimately Toulouse, the sport's grandest club, is a steep and earned climb. Fullback is a lonely, exposed job: the last line in defense and often the spark in attack, and at 184 cm he had the frame to cover ground both ways. I like that he still engages openly on social media, keeping a human face on a brutal game. Carrying a North African background into the Top 14, he is a player I genuinely root for.
