Stefanie Joosten

Stefanie Joosten fascinates me as a true crossover talent. A Leiden-educated Dutchwoman who relocated to Japan and built a career as a model, actress and singer, she broke through globally as Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V, lending her motion, voice and likeness to a character who says almost nothing yet conveys everything. That performance, expressive through silence, struck me as remarkably brave and disciplined. Carving out a path in a foreign creative industry takes real grit, and I admire how deeply she committed to Japanese game culture. To me she's proof that presence and craft can transcend language entirely.
