Okay, I'll just say it: Spielberg basically built the blockbuster as we know it, and I'm endlessly grateful for that. The man went from a kid sneaking onto studio lots to giving us Jaws, E.T., Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, the whole childhood-wonder starter pack, and then turned around and made Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan to remind everyone he could gut-punch you too.
