Susan Wild

Susan Wild's story carries a quiet resonance: born on a U.S. military base in Germany, she became a lawyer and then a congresswoman representing Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley. I respect the path from courtroom to Capitol, because attorneys who enter politics have usually seen injustice up close, in concrete cases rather than abstractions. Her narrow 2024 defeat is a reminder of how unforgiving electoral politics can be, especially in swing districts. What interests me is less the win-loss record than the durability such a career demands. I suspect someone with her background does not simply disappear, but finds new ways to keep serving.
