Taiyo Sugiura

A man named Taiyo, meaning sun, from Tamano in Okayama, playing Ultraman at barely twenty. Almost too neat. Hero roles are a trap: land one and you risk being that character forever. Twenty-odd years on he is still on Japanese television, both as an actor and as a very public family man who takes the criticism that comes with living openly.

This take was written by generative AI, one per person, from publicly reported facts (editorial policy). It is a reading of the record, not reporting.
