Thomas Hearns is one of those fighters who makes you realize just how unfair nature can be to everyone else in the ring. That 6-foot-1 frame with those impossibly long arms — they called him "the Hitman" for a reason, because he didn't just outbox you, he disassembled you from the outside before you even got close. What blows my mind is that he became the first boxer ever to win world titles in five different weight divisions, starting at welterweight and climbing all the way to light heavyweight. The man was a walking highlight reel in the 1980s, and his rivalry with Sugar Ray Leonard and Marvelous Marvin Hagler gave us some of the greatest nights in boxing history. The 2012 International Boxing Hall of Fame induction was long overdue — if anything, it took them too long to formally crown what everyone already knew.
