My Take
Timothy Busfield is the kind of actor I find myself defending in conversations about who really makes good television work. From Poindexter in Revenge of the Nerds to Elliot in Thirtysomething, which won him a 1991 Emmy, to reporter Danny Concannon on The West Wing, he specializes in characters who feel lived-in rather than written.
