My Take
Honestly, when I hear "baseball player," my brain immediately jumps to the flashy sluggers who get the highlight reels and the nine-figure contracts — but guys like Tomohisa Otani are the ones I actually find interesting. At 176 cm he was never going to out-muscle anyone, so you know he had to be smart about it, pitching with his head as much as his arm. There's something genuinely appealing about that kind of career — no circus, no brand deals, just a craftsman showing up and doing his job. I'll always root for the steady, under-the-radar professional over the household name.
