My Take

Wells strikes me as the kind of late-blooming arm I instinctively root for. A 203 cm pitcher out of Tulsa who reached the majors not through a glamorous baseball factory but via Cal State San Bernardino, he climbed a harder road to that 2021 Orioles debut. From that height the ball comes down at a brutal angle, and I think his frame is still an underused weapon. There's something compelling about a player who isn't a polished blue-chip prospect yet keeps proving he belongs. I'll be quietly watching to see how far that combination of size and persistence carries him.
