My Take

Walker Scobell is one of the most assured young actors I have watched come up in years. Making your professional debut at thirteen opposite Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project, essentially playing the younger version of a Hollywood star, and then carrying a Disney+ tentpole as Percy Jackson, is no small feat. What impresses me is that he never seems to be straining for maturity he does not have yet; the confidence reads as natural. Child actors who graduate into leading roles are rare, and the next decade will tell us a lot. For now, I am betting on him.
