My Take

What I admire about Wes Benjamin is the unglamorous grit of his career arc. He reached the summit of the sport with the Texas Rangers, then chose to keep pitching abroad rather than fade out, crossing the Pacific to the KBO with the KT Wiz and now the Doosan Bears. That willingness to reinvent yourself in an unfamiliar league, language and culture says a lot about how much a man wants to keep competing. Pitchers like him rarely make headlines, yet they embody a quiet professionalism I find genuinely respectable. I'll be quietly rooting for every start he makes overseas.
