My Take

What hooks me about Wilder Cartagena is that he started life between the posts as a goalkeeper before Alianza Lima's academy moved him into midfield. That backstory feels written all over his game: a defensive midfielder who reads danger the way a keeper scans for it, then quietly recycles possession. He is the unglamorous engine, not the headline striker, and I have a soft spot for players like that.
