Zach Edey

Zach Edey is genuinely one of the most fun players to watch college basketball has produced in years — a 7-foot-4 Canadian kid from Toronto who showed up at Purdue and just broke the sport for a while. In 2023 he swept basically every major college player of the year award you can name: Naismith, Wooden, Oscar Robertson Trophy, AP, NABC, Big Ten, the whole cabinet. That doesn't happen by accident. Watching Purdue go all the way to the national championship game in his final season felt like the culmination of something special, even if the title slipped away. He's already in Memphis now at 24 — I'm genuinely curious to see how that size and skill translates to the NBA level.
