Zakk Wylde

Okay, I have to be honest: Zakk Wylde is one of those guys who just radiates pure metal energy, and I'm here for it. The moment Ozzy plucked this beefy, bearded New Jersey kid out of obscurity to be his guitarist, you knew lightning had struck. That bulls-eye guitar is iconic, the pinch harmonics are unmistakable, and his playing has this thick, southern-fried heaviness that's all muscle and soul. Then he goes and builds Black Label Society into its own beast, growling and shredding like a Viking who learned blues. I love that under all the leather and roar there's a real student of guitar, somebody who clearly worships the craft. He's loud, ridiculous, and completely sincere, and that combination just works for me.
