My Take
What strikes me most about ZUN is the sheer purity of his one-man vision. Composer, writer, programmer, designer, all in a single person, he willed Touhou Project into existence and let the fan community do the rest. To me he is the truest embodiment of the doujin spirit: someone who chased what he loved instead of chasing a market, and somehow built a global phenomenon anyway. I find that deeply admirable. His success was never engineered by a studio or marketing budget, it grew organically from devotion, and that authenticity is exactly why his work has endured so beautifully across decades.
