Alek Thomas

Alek Thomas is a player I enjoy tracking. A Chicago kid out of Mount Carmel High, he climbed through the minors to a 2019 Midwest League MVP, debuted with the Diamondbacks, and now wears Dodgers blue. That trajectory signals a speed-and-defense outfielder with real upside, and his time with the Mexico national team adds a pride-in-roots dimension I appreciate. Born in 2000, he still has plenty of runway. I'm curious whether his city-bred hunger translates into a long, stable big-league career. Right now he reads to me as one of those grinders worth betting on.
