My Take

What strikes me about Anthony Weiner is how a once-promising New York political career became a cautionary tale almost overnight. A Brooklyn Tech kid who climbed from the City Council to the U.S. House, he had real momentum as a sharp Democratic voice. Then the scandals took over, and that's mostly what people now remember. I find the 2016 angle genuinely fascinating: how his personal misconduct ended up entangled with a presidential election was a strange collision of private failure and public consequence. To me he's a stark reminder that in politics, judgment and discipline matter as much as talent, and one self-inflicted wound can erase years of work.
