My Take
What I find most interesting about Ashlyn Gere is the crossover. She built her name in adult film, sweeping major AVN and XRCO awards in 1993 including Female Performer of the Year, but then turned up in mainstream science fiction like The X-Files and Space: Above and Beyond. That kind of jump across very different worlds is rare and tells me she had genuine range and ambition beyond one lane. Add screenwriting and directing to the résumé and the picture I get is of someone who wanted creative control, not just to perform. Her dual Hall of Fame induction confirms she left a real mark in her field.
