Bobby Jones

Bobby Jones embodies the kind of professional I respect most. At 206 cm, the Akron native went from North Carolina to the ABA's Nuggets and the NBA's 76ers, never as a scoring star but as a relentless defender and hustle merchant who held teams together from the shadows. His 2018 Hall of Fame induction is proof that thankless work eventually gets its due, and I love a culture that honors that. I'm a sucker for substance over flash, and Jones delivers it. A pillar of Philadelphia's championship core, his name deserves to be remembered far more loudly.
