My Take
Butch Hartman is, to me, a magician of childhood. Out of Highland Park, Michigan, he stacked up a run of Nickelodeon hits, The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, T.U.F.F. Puppy and Bunsen Is a Beast, while wearing every hat at once: animator, writer, director, voice actor, even painter. What I respect most is that he founded his own studio to make exactly what he wanted to make. Creators who build the worlds kids carry for life rarely get the credit stars do, and I think that quiet, prolific authorship deserves a loud round of applause.
