My Take

Suárez intrigues me as a product of Guayaquil, Ecuador's bustling port city, and there is something I love about a footballer whose career circles back to his hometown club, Guayaquil City. Ecuadorian football rarely gets much attention abroad, yet it tends to produce technically sharp, gritty players, and I suspect he fits that mold.
