Danshoku Dino

I'll be honest, when I first heard the name Danshoku Dino I figured it was a one-note gimmick, and then I watched and realized this guy is doing something way smarter than people give him credit for. Comedy wrestling is brutally hard, you have to nail the timing of a stand-up comic and still take real bumps, and he somehow turns the whole arena into his playground without ever losing the crowd. That a kid from sleepy little Setoda in Hiroshima, lemon country, grew into this fearless, room-owning character genuinely delights me. I find him weirdly endearing, the kind of performer who reminds you wrestling is supposed to be fun.
