My Take

Diego Lainez is a player I've watched with the cautious optimism reserved for early-blooming talents. Born in Villahermosa, Tabasco in 2000, he's a Mexican winger whose footwork and acceleration made him a national-team name very young. I find his path interesting: a move to Europe with Real Betis, then a return to Liga MX, ending up at Tigres UANL. That round trip says a lot about how hard the European leap is, and how a homecoming can reset a career. I'm rooting for him to fully deliver on the promise that had everyone excited when he first broke through with Mexico.
