My Take

Powell is the kind of prospect who carries weight before he's even proven anything, and that fascinates me. A consensus five-star out of Durham, a Tar Heels pedigree, and a leap to the Brooklyn Nets before he's twenty: the runway is enormous, but so is the pressure. At 196 cm with the frame of a two-way wing, his ceiling is obvious. What I'll actually be watching is the unglamorous part: how he handles the first real wall the NBA throws at him. Talent gets you drafted; resilience gets you a career. I'm rooting for the latter to show up.
