My Take

Eduardo Noriega is the kind of leading man I find genuinely compelling because he carries both charm and menace in the same face. Coming out of Santander, he announced himself with Amenábar's Thesis and Open Your Eyes, then proved he could travel with Vantage Point. That ability to play the lover and the threat interchangeably is rare, and the fact that he also writes screenplays suggests he understands performance from the inside out. Spanish-language actors rarely cross borders this gracefully. I am drawn to that blend of intelligence and quiet danger, and I think he remains one of Spain's most undervalued exports.
