My Take

What impresses me most about Guido Knopp is his refusal to let history become either dull scholarship or cheap entertainment. He took the most morally heavy material a German broadcaster could touch, the Third Reich, National Socialism, Stalinism, and made it watchable for millions without sanitizing it.
