Haerin

I'll be honest — when NewJeans first dropped in the summer of 2022, Haerin was the member who immediately caught my eye, and not just for the obvious reasons. There's this almost eerie stillness to her stage presence that feels completely at odds with how young she is; she was barely sixteen at debut and already had the kind of cool that most performers spend a decade trying to cultivate. Her cat-like expressions became a genuine cultural talking point, and watching her hold her own in "Hype Boy" and "Ditto" music videos while the group exploded into a global phenomenon was genuinely exciting. What I appreciate most is that she doesn't oversell it — no forced smiles, no exaggerated energy — she just is, and somehow that quiet confidence reads louder than anyone else in the room.
