Hayato Nishiura

Hayato Nishiura is one of those players who quietly earns your respect — the kind who wears number 00 like a statement, not a joke. Born in 1999 in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto, he came up through Meitoku Gijuku and joined the Orix Buffaloes during their rebuild, which felt fitting. At 178 cm he's not going to blow you away with raw physical presence, but watching him play you get the sense he makes up for it with instinct and timing. A femoral-head condition forced him to retire in 2021 at just 22, and seeing him start over as a YouTuber makes me root for him even more.
