Hillbilly Jim

Hillbilly Jim is a reminder that wrestling has always been about character as much as combat. A 201 cm giant from Scottsville, Kentucky, lumbering to the ring in denim overalls, he won crowds not by silencing them but by charming them, riding the WWF's 1980s boom as a beloved babyface alongside Hulk Hogan. I have a soft spot for performers like him: their value lives in warmth and connection, not just title belts. His WWE Hall of Fame induction and later radio career feel like fitting second acts. He proves that likability can be its own kind of championship pedigree.
