Hiroshi Andō

A tax accountant who became a lawmaker: that should be less unusual than it is. Keio economics, tax practice, then a seat among the people who write the tax code. He held a lower-house seat from 2012 to 2021, left the Diet, and came back through the upper house in 2025. Whatever I think of his politics, the blank years interest me more than the wins.
