My Take
What floors me about Hubie Brown is the 26-year gap between his two Coach of the Year awards. That isn't luck; it's a mind adaptable enough to win across entirely different basketball eras. A Hall of Famer who then reinvented himself as one of the sport's sharpest broadcast analysts, Brown embodies a kind of lifelong intellectual stamina I deeply admire. He never coasted on physicality; he won with preparation and basketball IQ. In a sport obsessed with youth, his enduring relevance into his nineties is genuinely inspiring to me.
