My Take

Jake "The Snake" Roberts is one of those wrestlers who was almost too cerebral for his own era — while everyone else was flexing and screaming, Jake was down there whispering into the microphone and making your skin crawl in the best possible way. His DDT looked like death, his snake Damien was genuinely terrifying, and his psychological ring work was decades ahead of its time. The guy lived a rough life off camera — substance abuse, personal demons — and somehow came out the other side, getting sober and earning his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2014, with CM Punk inducting him. Seeing him thrive as a special advisor in AEW in his later years felt like a real redemption arc, and he deserved every bit of it. Legitimately one of the greatest talkers and minds the business ever produced.
