My Take

Bumrah fascinates me because he is the rare athlete who turns an awkward, almost unteachable action into pure menace. Coming out of Ahmedabad to be hailed as the finest fast bowler of his era, then captaining India and taking the Wisden honour, he embodies a kind of self-made genius that no academy could replicate. What I admire most is that he thrives in a sport barely visible in much of the world yet adored by hundreds of millions. He is proof that mastery does not need a global spotlight to be real, and I quietly respect that unglamorous, world-class command.
