My Take
What fascinates me about Jeanie Buss is that she runs one of the most scrutinized franchises in sports after entering the family business as general manager of the Los Angeles Strings at just 19. Inheriting the Lakers could have been a coronation; instead she fought to legitimize her authority and then doubled down by reviving women's professional wrestling. I read that as someone who refuses to be a placeholder. She blends old-school deal-making with genuine showmanship, and the fact that she championed a women's wrestling promotion tells me she values spectacle and underdogs alike. To me she is a quietly stubborn operator, and that combination is rarer than people admit.
