My Take
Jennifer Lee is one of the more remarkable double-threats in modern animation. A Columbia-trained writer from Rhode Island, she won the Best Animated Feature Oscar for Frozen and then ran Walt Disney Animation as chief creative officer. What impresses me most is that she kept the storyteller's instinct while steering an enormous studio, two roles that usually pull in opposite directions. Frozen connected globally because the craft served real emotional truth, not the other way around. I also respect that she eventually stepped down from the executive chair to return to actual filmmaking. That choice suggests someone who values the story over the title.
