My Take
Jiang Xin began acting as a child at seven and is best known for playing Consort Hua in Empresses in the Palace. A Chinese actress from Ürümqi, also known by her English name Rulu Jiang, she ranked 56 on Forbes China Celebrity 100 in 2017, which tells me she was a genuine force in the domestic industry at that point. That single ranking carries weight: breaking into the top sixty of a market that size is no small feat. A Forbes placement like that usually rides on a breakout drama, and hers was the palace epic. For now, I'll file her as a Chinese star worth seeking out.
