Jon Watts is genuinely one of the more interesting filmmaker success stories of the last decade — a guy who went from directing a creepy indie clown horror film and a lean Kevin Bacon thriller (Cop Car, which is really underseen) to helming arguably the biggest superhero trilogy of the MCU era.
