My Take

Kaiky is one to file away and watch. Born in 2004 in Santos, the cradle of Pele and Neymar, he is a young centre-back already plying his trade in the UAE Pro League. I find centre-backs the most intriguing Brazilians of all, because in a footballing culture obsessed with attacking flair, choosing to defend takes real character. To do it this young and this far from home suggests a maturity beyond his years. He is still raw, still unproven at the top level, but anyone carrying the Santos pedigree earns my patience. I would happily track where this one goes over the next decade.
