My Take
Kane is genuinely one of the most fascinatingly multi-layered figures in WWE history, and I don't just mean the seven-foot monster-in-a-mask gimmick — I mean the actual human being Glenn Jacobs, who somehow parlayed a career built on chokeslams and fake fire into winning a real mayoral election in Knox County, Tennessee in 2018. The guy holds the record for the most matches in WWE history, which already tells you something about his iron-willed consistency, but then he's also a licensed insurance broker and a libertarian political thinker who's written thoughtfully about economics. Every time you think you've got him filed away as one thing, there's another layer. He's the rare pro wrestling legend who made the post-ring chapter just as interesting as the one inside the squared circle.
