Kat Cammack

What strikes me about Cammack is the audacity of starting young. Born in 1988, she's among the more junior members of Congress, and she worked her way up from a predecessor's aide to winning a House seat in North Central Florida on her own. Representing a sprawling twelve-county district is unglamorous, essential work that rarely makes headlines. Wherever one lands on her politics, I prefer to see her as a challenger who stepped into the arena early on her own convictions. That kind of nerve, regardless of party or background, earns a certain baseline respect from me.
