My Take
Kit Harington is one of those actors who had the near-impossible task of carrying one of the most beloved — and most scrutinized — characters in modern television for eight straight years, and for the most part he absolutely delivered. As Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, he brought a brooding, earnest gravity to a role that could have easily tipped into melodrama, and watching him navigate everything from the Night's Watch to Daenerys to that gut-punch final scene was genuinely riveting. Yes, the later seasons were divisive, but that's the writing room's cross to bear, not his. What struck me most is that he trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, so there's real theatrical chops underneath all that fur and brooding — and his stage work backs that up. I'm rooting for his post-Westeros chapter to be the one where he really gets to stretch.
