Lacey Turner

Lacey Turner represents something I genuinely respect about British television: the dignity of long-form, everyday drama. The Barnet-born actress became a household name as Stacey Slater on EastEnders, a role she carried on and off from 2004 until 2025. What impresses me is her endurance, the rare ability to inhabit one character across two decades and keep finding new depth in her. She chose the soap stage over chasing Hollywood, and won National Television Awards doing it. To me, that commitment to the living rooms of ordinary viewers is its own quiet form of greatness.
