My Take

Linda Hamilton changed what a female action lead could be, and I do not say that lightly. The transformation between The Terminator and Terminator 2, from frightened waitress to hardened warrior, was a physical and psychological rebuild that predated today's celebrated method transformations by decades. Sarah Connor became the blueprint for every tough heroine that followed, and Hamilton pulled it off without losing the character's wounded humanity. Then she returned for Dark Fate in her sixties, grizzled and utterly convincing, refusing the industry's habit of retiring women early. To me she is that rare actor whose single iconic role doubles as a genuine cultural milestone.
