My Take
Marie Kondo fascinates me because she turned tidying into a genuine philosophy of living. The idea of keeping only what sparks joy sounds simple, yet it reframes our entire relationship with possessions, and that quiet radicalism is why The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up swept the world and landed her on the Time 100. What I admire most is how she translated a very Japanese sense of order and aesthetics into something universally legible. Her later candor about loosening her own standards while raising children only makes her more human. I consider her one of modern Japan's finest cultural exports.
