Naoya Gamou

Racing drivers live in a completely different universe from the rest of us, and Naoya Gamou is exactly the kind of guy who reminds me of that. The thing about racing that people forget is how much of it is ice-cold analysis happening behind that visor, not just raw bravado. Gamou keeps his personal life close to the chest, which honestly tracks — the kind of driver who lets the lap times do the talking rather than building a lifestyle brand. I imagine him going quiet at dinner parties until someone mentions tire compounds, then absolutely lighting up. Respect.
