My Take
Olesya Rulin's path fascinates me: a Moscow-born kid who grew into a Russian-American actress and charmed a generation as Kelsi in the High School Musical trilogy. She played the shy composer with a warmth that never tipped into caricature, and being a pianist herself surely helped. I'm always moved by immigrant stories where talent and persistence win out far from home. She reads to me as someone who trades on sincerity rather than flash, also juggling modeling and film work along the way. I hope she keeps tending her own creative garden on her own terms.
